In this one-of-a-kind event, Ottawa’s corporate teams have taken on one legendary challenge: sorting 1,000 pounds of food at record speed to support neighbours facing hunger. In 2026, the Food Bank is marking their10-year anniversary at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa, and this milestone calls for something bigger, louder, and bolder.

Welcome to the Battle of the Cans. 

Every can sorted and every dollar raised helps the Ottawa Food Bank provide emergency food support across our city. Teams raise critical funds and sort thousands of pounds of food to ensure families have access to the essentials they need. That’s a legacy built on teamwork, and it deserves a celebration!
