The 2018 OTTAWA FIRE TRUCK PULL will be a fun, family friendly event that brings the community together for a good-natured competition while raising funds for charity. On Sunday October 28, teams of 10 will descend on Lansdowne Park to demonstrate that they have the fortitude to pull a 10+ tonne fire truck 100 feet in front of over a thousand spectators. Teams will compete to see who can pull the truck the fastest, raise the most money for a good cause, or demonstrate the most team spirit. Anyone can put together a team. Grab up to 9 friends, register, and raise at least $1,000 – that’s just $100 each! Spectators attend for free and can get their photo taken in a fire fighter uniform on a fire truck or participate in the other family-friendly activities on site.
This inaugural community event is put on by Epilepsy Ottawa in collaboration with City of Ottawa Lansdowne Park and Ottawa Fire Services. 100% of the proceeds from this event will support epilepsy services in our community. Epilepsy Ottawa is a registered not-for-profit charity dedicated to improving the lives of the nearly 10,000 people with epilepsy in our region and their families. (www.epilepsyottawa.ca)
